he Dallas Cowboys’ promising 2009 season came to an abrupt and humiliating end on Sunday, losing 34-3 to the Minnesota Vikings in a divisional playoff game at the Metrodome. Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice grabbed three touchdown catches for Minnesota while the Vikings defense subdued the Cowboys offense by sacking quarterback Tony Romo six times. Romo also fumbled three times, losing two.

The Vikings will travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints in the NFC Championship game on Jan. 24. The winner of this game and the Indianapolis Colts/New York Jets AFC Championship game will play in Super Bowl XLIV, Feb. 7 in South Florida.

After the conclusion of this Super Bowl, a strong promotion is expected to begin for Super Bowl XLV, to be held Feb. 6, 2011 at Cowboys Stadium.
