DESCRIPTION:Registration for St. Andrew Methodist Church Prom Closet 2023 is now open.   Appointments are required to improve the shopping experience and minimize wait times. St. Andrew Methodist Church is registering volunteers and accepting donations. Each shopper must be present to select her own dress and accessories and may have one guest\, age 16 or older. A personal shopper volunteer will assist each shopper throughout the process. There will be 30 shopping slots per each 1.5-hour time frame\, scheduled for Feb. 7-9\, 11 and 13-18 in Smith Worship Center\, at St. Andrew Methodist Church in Plano\, on the east side of the church at 1401 Mira Vista Blvd. Girls from ANYWHERE in need of a prom dress are invited to come select a dress and accessories – all at no cost. DESCRIPTION:The Plano Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is pleased to announce the concerts in its 41st season\, Out of This World. Season highlights include the ¡VIVA MEXICO! concert celebrating Mexican music and dance on Mexican Independence Day\, a nostalgic viewing of the classic movie Ghostbusters screened live as the PSO performs Elmer Bernstein’s Grammy-nominated score\, and a concert with multiple Award-winning jazz artist Branford Marsalis. A variety of season subscription packages\, ranging from $92-$466\, are available now for purchasing. Current subscribers may renew by mail\, by calling 972-473-7262\, or visiting the PSO’s website\, planosymphony.org. New subscribers may call to select available seats. The 2023/2024 Season is sponsored\, in part\, by The City of Plano\, TACA\, Texas Commission on the Arts\, the National Endowment for the Arts\, and The City of Richardson. \nIn addition to the eight subscription concerts\, the PSO will perform a special concert on the campus of Southern Methodist University at Caruth Auditorium. The PSO is also proud to bring back the ever-popular Patriotic Pops! on July 4\, 2023.
