SUMMARY:Dallas Mavericks And Gem Celebrate Women’s History Month
DESCRIPTION:MAR. 1\, 2023 (DALLAS) – To commemorate Women’s History Month\, the Dallas Mavericks and Girls Empowered by Mavericks (GEM) will host a variety of events throughout the month of March\, including clinics and speaker panels. In 2021\, the Dallas Mavericks announced the GEM program – designed to engage\, inspire and empower young females through the use of physical activity as a backdrop to their continued development and success. \nThis year\, GEM will host a Celebration of Girls on Mar. 6. Female student-athletes from all over North Texas will participate in an expo\, where they will have the opportunity to visit booths to learn about financial literacy\, mental and physical health\, career opportunities and much more. There will also be a speaker panel featuring Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall\, Dallas Mavericks Assistant Coach Kristi Toliver\, Dallas Wings player Arike Ogunbowale\, TIAA Regional VP & Associate General Counsel Caren Lock\, and UT Southwestern Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine Dr. Carolee Estelle.
