SUMMARY:Press Released: Demand Dilemma
DESCRIPTION:DALLAS (Feb. 23 2025) – April Sha’Lil will host Shine Phygital Phase II – “Demand Dilemma”: An Interactive Print Press and Neighborhood-GO Experience” on Saturday\, March 8\, 2025\, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the South Dallas Cultural Center.  \nApril Sha’Lil’s album “SHINE” will premiere later this year. The album experience\, SHINE Phygital\, offers multiple experiences\, immersing aspiring leaders in the essence of the messages of the unreleased debut album. As part of SHINE Phygital\, Demand Dilemma will increase awareness of resource gaps in South Dallas while driving traffic to South Dallas – District 7 businesses and opportunity zones.  \nEvent details:  \n\nHands-on print workshop using traditional techniques – just like civil rights activists did decades ago – raising the question of why underserved communities still lack resources today. \nStorytelling with the Split Reality VR activation highlights the impact of investment versus neglect in underserved communities. \nThe Neighborhood GO experience is not your average scavenger hunt; it prompts participants to visit and learn about local businesses and landmarks while also challenging them to think critically about resource gaps and ideate about new housing models or new businesses they can bring to the community. \nDallas City Council Candidate O’Neil Hesson is collaborating on this event to help receive and distribute donated self-care and wellness essentials to the community. \n\nSometimes\, the seed of leadership within a person is simply waiting for exposure to the right environment for it to grow – environments that force leadership to spring forth. My hope is that this experience drives leaders to move beyond the surface-level understanding of economic disparities and instead immerse themselves into it to disrupt it. And of course\, I am promoting my debut album. — April Sha’Lil  \nAttendees are encouraged to contribute to a resource drive supporting local families. Donations of facial masks\, bath bombs\, lotion and other self care essentials can be dropped off the day of the event at the South Dallas Cultural Center.  \nFor more information on the Shine Phygital Phase II: Demand Dilemma or to schedule interviews\, please contact:  \nTess McGill  \n210-275-1877  \nt.mcgill@plugin-tps.com \n
