This month\, discover tips to starting your own art collection and explore the incredible photos in the exhibition Beauty and Life: The Finis Welch Collection. \nSchedule\n5–8 p.m.\nJoin Amon Carter Museum in The Lounge to create your own self-portrait photograph inspired by works in the Beauty and Life exhibition. Led by Carter Community Artist Raul Rodriguez. Supplies are limited to the first 200 people. \nEnjoy drinks in the Atrium. Carter members get one complimentary drink! Lite bites are available for purchase at the Carter’s Food Cart. \n6–7:30 p.m.\nArt advisor Diana Edkins will talk with Carter curator John Rohrbach about how Finis Welch collected the photographs and works on paper he bequeathed to the Museum\, including works by Ansel Adams\, Edward Steichen\, Dorothea Lange\, Marco Breuer\, Edward Weston\, and many more. Edkins and Rohrbach will also share tips and advice for starting your own art collection and the nature of the art market today.
