Chocolate lovers, mark your calendars! The 14th Annual Dallas Chocolate Festival is returning to the heart of Dallas at the Fashion Industry Gallery (FIG) from September 6th to 8th, and it promises to be bigger and sweeter than ever. This year, FIG steps into a new role, not just as a host, but as the full owner and operator of the festivalโa move that signals their growing commitment to supporting local and small businesses in the most indulgent way possible.
For years, FIG has been a major player in promoting cultural and artistic events in Dallas, but 2024 marks a special turning point for the gallery. “FIG, as a broader company, we specialize in large-scale exhibition events,” said Megan Long, FIGโs Marketing Director. “When we found the Dallas Chocolate Festival and really immersed ourselves in it two years ago, we thought we could absolutely add this to the portfolio and maybe even make it a little bit bigger and put a unique kind of FIG spin on it.” Megan further explained that FIG is known for “doing really culturally impactful events and… events that make people feel good.”

This festival is not only about chocolate but about creating a space that highlights the local talent and the artistry of chocolate-making. “We want the chocolate to speak for itself,” Megan added. “Itโs a very clean and minimal aesthetic with a little bit of an industrial twist that really allows people to explore and enjoy the chocolate as it was intended.”
And thereโs plenty to enjoy. From Wiseman House Chocolates to Five Mile at Oak Cliff, this yearโs festival will feature a wide array of chocolatiers, each bringing their own unique flair. “Weโve got new exhibitors like Kessho and even viral sensations like Kate Weiser, whose Middle Eastern-infused pistachio chocolate creation has taken off in Dubai,” Megan shared. “I think just the passion and exuberance they bring to chocolate is really special.”
The festival kicks off with the VIP Night of Indulgence on Friday, September 6th. Featuring exclusive chocolate pairings from top Dallas chefs, including dishes from Uchi, Las Almas Rotas, and others, this 21+ event offers a foodie-focused experience perfect for a night out. “Itโs a great opportunity for date night or your girls’ night out,” Megan said. “There will be cocktails, wine, and beer available all throughout the night, free of charge. Some of the most sought-after restaurants in Dallas, all under one roof with a chocolate spinโwhatโs not to love about that?”

FIGโs dedication to local businesses and the community is at the heart of the Dallas Chocolate Festival. “We have a lot of chocolatiers from across the Metroplex and from Texas, and we want to support our local businesses as much as we can,” Megan explained. “The festival helps highlight not only Dallas chocolatiers but also the chocolate-making process in a really unique and special way.”
This yearโs festival is more than just an event; itโs part of FIGโs mission to uplift small businesses and help them grow. “A lot of these are small businesses and independently operated,” Megan said. “I canโt think of a better way to highlight their businesses and bring them together in front of a new audience in a really creative way.”
And whatโs next for FIG? While chocolate is the star of this weekendโs event, there may be more delicious surprises in store. “Weโre definitely interested in adding more food and beverage events to the portfolio,” Megan hinted. “I canโt disclose too much yet, but I wouldnโt be surprised if you see a wine festival in the near future.”
With its incredible lineup of chocolatiers, interactive experiences, and FIGโs commitment to uplifting small businesses, the Dallas Chocolate Festival is a canโt-miss event for anyone who enjoys indulging in more than just sweet treats.
