24 Carat Speakers, an elite speaker’s agency, will once again bring some of the most influential women in Dallas together at the second annual Women of
Power Symposium & Awards taking place on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10 a.m. Themed
“Step Into Your Greatness,” this year’s event will feature an inspiring keynote address by Cheryl
“Action” Jackson, multi-million dollar social entrepreneur and founder of Minnie’s Food Pantry.
The event will also celebrate eight phenomenal women who are making a difference in the
community.
“It is a great honor to host the Women of Power Symposium & Awards where we will celebrate
amazing women who have successfully stepped into their greatness, while also inspiring and
supporting others along the way,” said Dr Lawana Gladney, founder of 24 Carat Speakers and the
Women of Power Symposium. “It will be an inspiring day of powerful conversations, life-
changing insights and successful strategies that can help elevate your life in all areas.”
A transformative event designed to empower women of all backgrounds and ages, the Women of
Power Symposium & Awards will feature Dr. Cheryl Jackson, CEO of Minnie’s Food Pantry as
the keynote speaker and a dynamic panel discussion featuring Dr. Renee Fowler, a senior pastor,
strategist, entrepreneur, and consultant; Kelly Winget, an alternative investments expert and the
founder of Alternative Wealth Partners (AWP); and Linda Ayaode, a professional brand
strategist and owner and founder of LOI Graphics Inc. The women will share personal
testimonies of overcoming challenges to achieve success, valuable insights based on lessons
learned and words of wisdom. In addition, there will be a “Voices of Wisdom” panel featuring
Dr. Opal Lee and Mary Scichili ninety-eight and ninety years of age respectfully, who will
share their experiences and advice for navigating life successfully. Attendees will also be able to
enjoy networking opportunities and shop from over a dozen local vendors.

New this year is an awards ceremony that will recognize and honor eight exceptional women for
their outstanding contributions to supporting and empowering women in the community. They
will be celebrated for their tireless efforts and dedication to making a difference in the lives of
women through advocacy, mentorship, leadership, and philanthropy.

The Women of Power Symposium & Awards is from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Vouv Event
Center located at 4445 Sigma Road, Dallas, Texas 75244. Registration begins at 9:00 am. Tickets
are $125 for general admission and $175 for VIP admission, which includes preferred seating
and a special gift. Both ticket options grant access to all sessions, lunch and swag bags.
