This Event Will Bridge The Gap Between Impact and Capital

Impact Ventures, a 501c3 start-up accelerator and investment fund, is set to convene local, regional, and national voices to discuss historically why capital has lacked inclusivity and the innovative solutions we can develop to address it. Impact Ventures is pleased to host the 2nd annual Inclusive Capital Summit presented by Bank of America, on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8:00am 4:30pmat The Center for Brain Health in Dallas. The event is also sponsored by JP Morgan Chase, Deloitte, Bank of Texas, Lyda Hill Philanthropies, & Dallas College.

The Inclusive Capital Summit will feature regional and national speakers with a goal to elevate diverse voices across the public and private capital ecosystem. Attendees can expect to hear from entrepreneurs, angel investors, venture capitalists, CDFIs, philanthropists, entrepreneur ecosystem leaders, and banking institutions. Headlining the event is New York Times bestselling author, financial activist, and professor of law, Merhsa Baradaran. Mehrsa has published numerous award-winning books, most notably โ€œThe Color of Money: Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap,โ€ a book that inspired Netflix CEO Reed Hastings to pledge $100M to support Black communities. Mehrsaโ€™s most recent books, โ€œHow the Other Half Banksโ€ and โ€œThe Quiet Coup,โ€ further explore the systemic inequities that continue to plague communities both foreign and domestic.

The Summit will be hosted by four-time Emmy award-winning journalist, founder of Loud Women Lead and national advocate for natural hair movements, Tashara Parker.
