Daniel Mofor, the visionary Founder and Lead Designer of Don Morphy, spearheaded the initiative. A passionate advocate for youth empowerment and community development, Mofor created the non-profit organization Threads for Change to bring this mission to life. As in most cases, your passions are rooted in your upbringing. So it’s no surprise that this philanthropic effort became a family affair. Today, the organization is led by his sister, Sonya Mofor, who serves as the CEO, now making Threads for Change 51% woman-owned. Threads for Change, dedicated to providing education to young men and women, perfectly aligned with Don Morphyโ€™s commitment to making a positive difference. The inception of Threads for Change stemmed from Morphy’s belief that fashion can be more than just a medium of self-expressionโ€”it can be a powerful tool for empowerment and transformation. The organizationโ€™s mission is to provide underprivileged communities with the skills, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive, fostering self-sufficiency and sustainable development.

The workshop kicked off with a captivating presentation by a young Fashion Director, Dacyn Mofor, who led hands-on sessions on essential grooming skills, such as how to tie a tie and a bow tie. These sessions were designed to help participants develop a polished and professional appearance, which is crucial for making a positive first impression.
