A powerful partnership between a global tennis tournament and a digital assets platform is yielding tangible benefits for Dallas residents, beginning with the sparkling new tennis courts at Heidi B. Moore Park in West Dallas. The resurfacing project, unveiled on January 14th, 2026  marks the first community impact initiative following the historic announcement that Nexo is the new title partner of the U.S. ATP 500 Dallas Open.

The multi-year deal, which renames the tournament the Nexo Dallas Open, represents a significant elevation for the event and a commitment to the City of Dallas. As one of only two ATP 500 tournaments in the United States, the Open now carries the name of a global brand, but local leaders are emphasizing its local roots.

Former professional tennis star John Isner, a legend of the game, tested the new courts himself. “These courts are spectacular… you cannot get better tennis courts here in the heart of this beautiful park,” Isner said. He framed the investment as a template for the city: “This should be the template, in my mind, for a lot of the public works around the city… It’s about how the tournament and the event can help shape and reshape our city of Dallas.”

A Direct Impact on West Dallas

For Council Member Laura Cadena, who represents District Six, the project is a direct benefit to her constituents in West Dallas. This investment is significant for the historically Latino community, increasing exposure and access to the sport, which saw a 90% increase in Latino participation from 2019-2022.

“We’re just so excited today to have a partnership with Nexo and Dallas Open to bring sports to our community,” said Cadena. “This is a great opportunity for people in West Dallas to learn how to play tennis and to just expand in the different types of sports that children and adults in our community are exposed to. So come to West Dallas and come play on our brand new courts.”

District 6 Park and Recreation Board member Adam Medrano outlined the ongoing work to connect private sector goodwill with public need. “We’re doing that daily and always working to try to make our park system the best in Texas,” Medrano said, describing the search for partnerships for everything from basketball courts to swimming lessons.

A Tournament on the Rise

The 2026 Nexo Dallas Open, set for February 7-15 at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, will feature top American and international talent. But beyond the elite competition, the new title partnership signals a long-term stake in Dallas.

As the vibrant blue and green courts await new players, one thing is clear: that this partnership serves as a model for corporate reinvestment into existing community infrastructure.
