McDonald's is celebrating its 10th Anniversary McDonald's Read-In on February 28th at its Arlington, TX location. The event aims to promote literacy and cultural heritage, and will feature renowned media personality DeDe McGuire as the guest speaker. Families can enjoy storytelling, receive a free book for each child, complimentary Happy Meals, and branded swag while supplies last. The event is held in partnership with The Continental Societies, Inc., an international public service organization dedicated to the welfare of underprivileged children.

ARLINGTON, TX — In honor of Black History Month, McDonald’s is proud to announce its 10th Anniversary McDonald’s Read-In, a family-friendly community event dedicated to promoting literacy and cultural heritage. The event will take place on Saturday, February 28th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McDonald’s located at 4841 W Sublett Rd, Arlington, TX 76016.

This year’s milestone celebration features renowned media personality DeDe McGuire as the guest speaker. Families are invited to join an afternoon of storytelling and community connection, where every child in attendance will receive one free book from McDonald’s, while supplies last.

Additionally, the event will offer complimentary Happy Meals to young participants. Lastly, participants will receive branded swag while supplies last, a photo opportunity with special guest personality, Dede McGuire and our beloved Grimace. 

The African American Read-In is held in partnership with The Continental Societies, Inc., an international public service organization founded in 1956. Dedicated to the socioeconomic and cultural welfare of underprivileged children, the Continental Societies, Inc. currently operates 46 chapters across 20 states, the District of Columbia, and Bermuda
