The death of Lauren Smith-Fields was caused by “acute intoxication due to the combined effects of fentanyl, promethazine, hydroxyzine, and alcohol” and was accidental, Connecticut’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Monday, multiple news outlets reported.
