Tarrant County District Attorney Phil Sorrells is asking the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to reinstate Crystal Mason’s illegal voting conviction, which was overturned by the Second Court of Appeals last month, arguing that the lower court failed to require proof that she knew she was ineligible to vote.
