Reagan Martin, affectionately known as Poetryteacher is a mother, teacher and poet from Lake Charles, Louisiana. By way of Dallas, she has saturated the art and poetry scene while being named one of the city’s Independent RAW Artists. She has participated in some of the nation’s top slam competitions including Women of the World and Southern Fried Poetry Slam.
Poetryteacher has done two poetry tours spanning from Washington DC at Busboys and Poets to London, England with Grammy award-winning artist the Floacist. Poetryteacher curates events in and around Dallas with a clothing and accessories brand called Words Are Food™️ ️and a recurring event, entitled The Singer’s Circle. She is currently working on her first book, Grief Behavior, set to release tentatively in 2022.
