Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. to Host Annual Youth Leadership Conference

Cedar Hill, TX – The Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is excited to announce the hosting of its Annual Youth Leadership Conference on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 8am-2:30pm at the Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas.

This year’s conference is themed, “Lead with Love: Impactful Leadership through Service and Philanthropy” and will serve youth by bridging the connection between effective leadership and social responsibility. Attendees will be immersed in lessons that will help transform them into servant leaders in their communities and beyond by providing them with necessary skills such as communication strategies, networking techniques, goal-setting methods, and more.

A highlight of the event will be a conversation with Roland Parrish, founder of the Parrish Charitable Foundation. Parrish is the CEO of Parrish Restaurants, LTD which owns more than 20 McDonald’s in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. The businessman frequently appears in Black Enterprise Magazine and his business continues to be included among the top 100 black-owned companies in the nation. Parrish has a passion for supporting young people and wants them to seize every opportunity that is given to them.

Since 1938, Jack and Jill has been providing social, cultural, and educational opportunities for youth between the ages of 2 and 19. The organization boasts 252 chapters nationwide that embrace the holistic enrichment of youth in local communities. The Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter has been hosting the Youth Leadership Conference annually since 2007 for its members and those in the community. Students of all ages come from school districts throughout the DFW area to take part in the conference. This year’s gathering will be like none other and will take learning and leading to a whole new level.
