Last week, Adrienne Faulkner of Faulkner Design Group, one of the most prominent design & architectural firms in the nation, celebrated 30 years of service at the newly renovated Fair Park Visitor Center.

Faulkner Design Group is a nationally recognized, woman-owned architectural design firm unique in their ability to service a client from concept to installation, all in one place. The firm is certified in 22 states and has even done international designs. FDG’s philosophy of “Design Driven Marketing™” is a proven concept that drives us to achieve environments that encourage human interaction and promote a sense of community and belonging

The 30th anniversary celebration was Past, Present, and Future-themed and guests were able to mingle with Dallasites over drinks, dinner, enjoyed art installations from AURORA Dallas and danced the night away with tunes from DJ Blake Ward. The venue choice was key for Adrienne when planning this big event – it’s the historic home of the 1936 World’s Fair Expo and the Texas Centennial Celebration and was designed by Adrienne’s late grandfather, George L. Dahl, FAIA. She is also a board member of Friends of Fair Park.

No stranger to throwing a lavish celebration, we asked Adrienne why this anniversary was so important to her. “I always will appreciate my colleagues and my clients. If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t exist. But tonight it was really important for me to show everyone – most importantly my team – how much I appreciate them and why FDG has been so successful.”

Every year Adrienne hosts company “Forwards” for her staff (she doesn’t like to use the term “retreat”). The purpose is to reconnect with the team and have everyone from every department collaborate ideas and understand each other’s roles. That speaks volumes to Adrienne’s success with FDG, for she always keeps her team at the forefront of strategy when it comes to operating a successful firm. And during the celebration, Adrienne was sure to give her thanks again to her team in her speech.

Adrienne and Faulkner Design Group have always done things differently as innovators in their field and Adrienne has carried her family’s architectural & design legacy through the years by thinking outside the box! In true form, the FDG anniversary event was also innovative in its own way but with a nod to Dallas history. With the passion, dedication and creativity Adrienne Faulkner has given to the design industry, she is sure to have many many more anniversaries to come.
