Dallas, Texas – During the entire month of December, the Godsey/Martin and IJUSTGOTHIT.COM family have taken the time to share some Christmas cheer with local Texas families, gifting over 500 children with new bikes and presenting over $40,000 to deserving single mothers throughout the state. Following their stop in Houston, where an overwhelming 400 bikes were given to Houston area families, the Godsey/Martin & IJustGotHit.com team set out to Dallas to be a blessing to their next set of winners.
On Thursday, December 15th, 40 single mothers in the Dallas area received a $500 shopping spree followed by a Christmas bike giveaway on Saturday morning, where 200 children received brand new bikes. Radio partners K104-FM & DeDe In The Morning, and 97.9 The Beat Dallas allowed submissions for single mothers and Dallas families to be nominated for a chance to win a shopping spree or bike. Participants left voicemails on how who they felt was deserving of this opportunity. The Ijustgothit.com team narrowed down the selection of submissions to the top 40 mothers and 200 bike recipients. The stories submitted were heart felt and consisted of stories of experiencing financial difficulties, job layoffs, grandparents stepping in as primary parents, and many more.
The Single Mom’s Shopping Spree was hosted by DeDe in the Morning & K104-FM with sounds from DJ Steve Nice. The team DeDe, J-Cruz, Kita B, Comedian J.J. Williamson and White Gary entertained and showered the moms with dinner, prizes and tickets to upcoming Dallas events, including R&B Singer, Tyrese’s Concert and The New Year’s Eve Comedy Jam. The night concluded with a performance by Justin Martin, Co-Founder of Godsey/Martin and IJustGotHit.com’s, daughter.

The Bike Giveaway hosted by Radio One Dallas kicked off with greetings from Jazzi Black, Space Boi Fresh, Veda Loca, Skip Cheatam and Kiki J. In addition to the 200 Bikes that were given to winners, the families were also treated to breakfast and game coupons from Dave & Buster’s.
