For Immediate Release:
The Miracle-Ear Foundation brought the gift of sound to Dallas through their 9th Miracle Mission. On Saturday, April 13th the Foundation gifted 500 hearing aids to 250 Dallas area residents in need and provided free hearing tests and hearing health education.
Miracle-Ear believes everyone deserves access to quality hearing healthcare and is committed to making it more accessible. Through the world of the Miracle-Ear Foundation and Miracle Missions like this one, they are making that a reality.
โEach year we are so grateful to have the opportunity to give back,โ said Jenni Hargraves, Vice President of the Miracle-Ear Foundation. โHearing healthcare is an important part of our experience of the world and helping enhance that through the Gift of Sound program is such a special privilege.โ
The Miracle-Ear Foundationยฎ serves and supports children and adults who have hearing loss. The Gift of Soundโข program provides hearing aids and hearing support services at no cost to families or individuals who have incomes that are significantly limited, who are unable to afford the high costs of quality hearing instruments, and who have exhausted all possible resources for their hearing health.
Fifty million Americans struggle with some degree of hearing loss that reduces their quality of life. Hearing aids are a life-changing solution, but at several thousand dollars a pair, many canโt afford them. Those who are hearing impaired still face many challenges, some posed by societal misperceptions and stigma, which often limits efforts for preventing and addressing hearing loss. It is estimated that approximately 16% of Texans have hearing loss of some magnitude.
The Miracle-Ear Foundation is the non-profit wing of the broader Miracle-Ear (ME) ecosystem and has enhanced the lives of adults and children across the country by providing the Gift of Sound for more than 30 years. The Miracle-Ear Foundation has donated more than 48,000 hearing aids to over 25,000 children and adults nationwide.
