But Twogether Land wasn’t just about hip-hop. Sultry R&B singers, who’ve made their way to the music scene, blending traditional R&B with lyrics that reflect modern times, were front and center. Watts, CA native Kenyon Dixon opened the Twogether Land  mainstage with a set that showcased his versatility and talent as an all around performer.

The day also featured R&B royalty Dru Hill, and Amaaree, with Summer Walker closing the night with her smooth vocals and undeniable stage presence. All ensured the crowd was greeted with an atmosphere of pure soul as they swayed and sang along, captivated by their emotional performances.

Well-curated activations could be found across the festival grounds. Dallas Weekly had the opportunity to visit the Toyota Music Den featuring DJ Freeze and Martell Cognac’s Vibe Check, featuring a state of the art AI technology capable of scanning festival-goer’s brainwaves, interpreting positive music associations to colors and patterns.

Beyond the music, the Twogether Land Podcast Stage offered a platform for insightful conversations. Podcasts like Angela Yee’s Lip Service, Dear Fathers, Smooth Vega and Storytime with Legendary Jerry brought fresh perspectives and unfiltered discussions, adding another layer of entertainment to the festival experience.

With one day down and another to go, Twogether Land has already established itself as a force to be reckoned with.
