Dallas, being the 9th largest city in the U.S., is a place where the worlds of finance, sports, politics, and fashion collide. People from all over the world have made Dallas their home and it’s on track for even more growth. When you live, work, and play here, you eventually become recognizable, and the city becomes smaller and smaller over time. You’ll begin to have friends in a variety of spaces, and become known for what you do. You almost become famous within your own city, whether it’s for your art, your career, your business, your events- we all have our thing. This idea is what Jordan Thomas had in mind when he founded the brand Famous in Dallas.
“There’s truly no explanation. It’s any and everything. Anybody can be famous in whatever city they’re in…It just happened to be Dallas that this got created in.” – Jordan Thomas
Dallas has always been Jordan’s city. Raised in the historic Hamilton Park neighborhood, he started Famous in Dallas two years ago in 2024. “ [I had] Completely no idea what this was gonna turn into, where it’s gonna go. It’s just been kind of a roller coaster.” The brand’s first drop was a Mav’s themed hat with the classic blue and green. Jordan took the hats out into the streets for the St.Patrick’s day festivities, where they sold out same-day. Since that initial success, he’s dropped an additional 20 items of clothing, including hats, t-shirts, hoodies and now jerseys. A popular wardrobe staple is the simple black and white logo hat.

In light of the 2026 World Cup, Jordan decided to put out a jersey for the first time. “This is my first time creating a jersey, so it’s almost like a brand new experience all over again with experiencing how people are gonna receive it and are they gonna actually enjoy the product that I’m putting out?” says Jordan. The navy blue unisex jersey pulls elements from the United States and Texas flags. The Dallas skyline sits at the torso area behind the Famous In Dallas logo. On the right side of the chest, sits a USA emblem. One sleeve features the United States flag, while the other features a lone star. The number on the back of the jersey is 10.

Overlooking Saturday morning pickup matches on the Vanta rooftop, the young founder shared a bit on his design inspiration; “Obviously having the skyline- that’s the most famous thing in Dallas, essentially. That’s truly what we’re known for. But we’re also known for so many different things, as far as food, the different cultures that are here, all the different entertainment in the nightlife or throughout the city.” Jordan especially would know this to be true. For years, he has been behind the scenes of Dallas’ hottest social spaces himself. He maintains that someone who believes Dallas is boring is just not tapped in enough – there’s something for everyone in the Triple D.
Looking ahead towards the future, Jordan is working to expand the brand’s collaboration portfolio to include larger companies and franchises. Since its inception, the Hamilton Park native has tried to keep the brand focused on the people and places that make Dallas great, and less about himself. Jordan hardly posts his face or stars in content, but despite his humble efforts, he is still quite popular in these streets. “I try to keep it away from being about myself…I have no desire to be famous, but it’s looking like I don’t have an option” he joked. He also shared his deep appreciation for the support he receives from the community- people in and beyond Dallas have shown the brand a lot of love.
“Without y’all, I wouldn’t be able to do this, so I really appreciate it.” – Jordan Thomas
