Fort Worth native and graduate of an inner-city high school, Ms. Jones is a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor and proud owner of Simply Candid Counseling Services, PLLC, which began in May 2015. She has worked over 13 years with clients of all backgrounds, with individual and marital issues to childhood disorders and the more severe psychological disorders.
Upon receiving her diploma, she moved to Waco to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Baylor University. After serving and learning about the growing needs for the underprivileged and the impoverished children and youth in the Waco community, she returned to Fort Worth to further her education to meet these needs and others alike. During this time, she completed her Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, which led her to pursue her career goal of becoming a competent Professional Counselor and owning her own private practice.
Ms. Jones is a board-certified counselor and a Certified Prepare Enrich Facilitator for couples. She is also an LPC Supervisor in which she can provide instruction to students and LPC-Interns on how to master the skills of mental and/or behavioral health counseling. Ms. Jones also services the elderly community by working with the Department of Family and Protective Services and providing capacity assessments to those 65 years and older.
She has a passion to provide direction to individuals, families, and couples as she has worked in the mental health field for over a decade. Ms. Jones has expertise in individual counseling, premarital and couples counseling, working with children with foster and adopted backgrounds, providing training to parents and numerous techniques to counsel those with mental illness, childhood disorders, crisis and assisting with personal life stressors.

She is incredibly social, a loyal friend and enjoys making others laugh. When she is not socializing or checking some adventure off her “living list”, she is spending time with her brilliant and beautiful 11-year old daughter Makenzi.
