Sofia’s extensive background in business and community development uniquely allows her to reach out and engage in special projects. Whether as the Executive Director for Susan G. Komen Dallas or helping individuals to further themselves economically, she values the importance of serving others. 

Sofia has navigated her way to support low to moderate-income families in the communities she has served. She has provided mentoring and counseling to youth by assisting them to obtain their GED and local jobs, with various organizations such as Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas, YMCA of Dallas, Boys and Girls Club and the Dallas Bethlehem Center. She also created opportunities for senior citizens to rejoin the business workforce and has partnered with the Workforce of Tarrant County, Goodwill Industries, Family Gateway and several other faith-based organizations. 

Sofia’s gifts to inspire and build trust has led to her achieving success by creating alliances, partnerships and strong collaborations with various organizations that help support women in business to achieve superior results. Among them, the Women’s Small Business grant program (SER MUJER- sponsored by Coca-Cola), Headstart and the Childcare Group of Dallas

Sofia’s newest focus includes helping to create awareness and raise funds to end breast cancer. Her passion for helping women in low to moderate-income families has transcended to her work at Susan G. Komen by allowing her to share her philosophy and intense desire to impact change and help others. Sofia is currently working to improve the community she lives in by empowering them with the knowledge of a healthy lifestyle and community engagement. 

Sofia’s business accomplishments have reached far beyond the walls of her local employment. Over the years Sofia has volunteered in numerous areas of her community including: The Texas State Aquarium, the US Lexington Battleship, the Port of Corpus Christi and the American Heart Association Go Red for Women & Heart Ball of South Texas, 

Overall, Sofia’s key skills include the ability to structure partnerships with major corporations for contributions to make a difference by setting priorities in special community programs and the ability to negotiate and find compromises. 

Sofia’s educational background includes an undergrad at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Texas with a Bachelor of Art in History with a minor in Spanish.

Sofia currently resides in Highland Village, Texas with her husband Anthony Sposato and their dog Sadie.
