The LIT AF Comedy Tour first began in early 2020, but was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After a long hiatus, the comics were finally able to get back on the road, making their first stop in Orlando, Florida on September 24. The LIT AF Comedy Tour will soon be arriving in Texas — coming to the Texas Trust CU Theatre in Grand Prairie on November 12. During this evening of laughs, taking turns on stage, six different comedians will perform an original set.

Best known for his roles in the Big Mama’s House and Bad Boys franchises, actor and stand-up comedian Martin Lawrence will be the host for the evening. The LIT AF Comedy Tour will feature a number of high-profile comics — some of whom Lawrence has shared a stage with before, like Rickey Smiley. Both Smiley and Lawrence got their start in the industry in the early 1990’s by appearing on Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam. Danell Rawlings, B. Simone, Chico Bean and Clayton Thomas — who have all appeared on MTV’s improv comedy competition Wild N’ Out — will also take the stage throughout the show.

The comics are excited to be back together and be able to perform again.

“Being on the road with this group of funny AF comedians is a blast. Bringing the tour back out on the road is always exciting, no two shows are the same and we all bring something different to the party,” said Lawrence.

The LIT AF Comedy Tour will be in Grand Prairie on Friday, November 12 at the Texas Trust CU Theatre, 1001 Performance PI, Grand Prairie, TX. The show will begin at 7:30 pm. On Saturday, November 13, the tour will be making its next stop in Housten, before heading to Canada, California, Las Vegas and Hawaii. For tickets to the LIT AF Comedy Tour, visit litaftour.com
