Artist Bio
Armando’s art career was inspired by a cousin in Mexico that made skulls and clay sculpture. Family members encouraged him to become a tattoo artist, but his parents disagreed. He quickly realized by 16 that art could be a career for him, he just had to figure out how to make it happen. The biggest motivation for Armando is passion projects like the Forest Theatre Mural. As a kid he enjoyed looking at art, however there was no outlet in his community of Oak Cliff. Being given the opportunity to create art for the Forest theatre ensures that places that he lives and visits possess beautiful art, to match the beauty seen in South Dallas.
