Leadership Dallas alumni gathered together this past Monday, June 12 for their Annual Leadership Luncheon. The event featured Keynote speaker Peter Brodsky, LD ’10 and Majority Owner and Co-Developer of The Shops at RedBird. He shared his thoughts on the impact of Leadership Dallas in the community in a conversation with Latosha Herron Bruff, DRC Senior Vice President of Inclusion and Community Engagement.
Brodsky spoke about how Leadership Dallas helped him to become more educated, empathetic, and compassionate about the residents, issues and future of South Dallas. He also discussed the recent announcement of a major win for Southern Dallas County – a Tom Thumb grocery store coming to The Shops at RedBird. The event was a reminder of the important role that Leadership Dallas plays in developing the region’s leaders. Founded in 1975 by the Dallas Regional Chamber, Leadership Dallas is the premier leadership development program in the area, selecting up to 55 diverse leaders each year to engage in a ten-month program that includes a retreat, monthly topic areas, homework, and a class project. Participants are selected based on their proven leadership potential within their organization and the community.
